VAT & Import Charges

Orders are shipped from the Netherlands. This means that orders delivered outside the European Union are treated as imports and may be subject to additional charges.

We ship all international orders DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid).
Import charges are not included at checkout.

What charges can I expect after placing my order, but before delivery?
  • VAT (percentage depending on your country/state)
  • Customs duties (if appicable)
  • Carrier handling / clearance fee

These charges are determined by your local customs authority and collected by the shipping carrier before delivery.

We do not collect VAT, duties, or import taxes for orders shipped outside the EU. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Why am I being charged VAT?

You are not being charged twice.

  • Your order is shipped from the EU (Netherlands)
  • The UK treats this as an import
  • UK VAT is legally required at the border

Since we ship DDU, these charges are handled by the shipping carrier.

How does payment work?
  • Shipping carrier will contact you (email/SMS)
  • You’ll receive a payment link before delivery
  • Once paid, your parcel will be delivered
Refused shipments
  • If you refuse to pay the import charges, the parcel will be returned to us
  • Shipping costs, return fees, and up to a 5% restocking fee may be deducted from your refund
United Kingdom specifics:
  • VAT is not collected at checkout
  • UK customs will apply:
    • 20% VAT
    • Possible import duties
    • UPS handling fee

These charges must be paid before delivery, they will be charged by the shipping carrier (usually UPS).
